Fares checked on 15 October 2026. Taxi flat fares: French government order of 24 December 2025 on taxi fares for 2026. VTC and GO prices: VAT included, per vehicle, central Paris.
How much does each option cost?
| Route | Paris taxi (official flat fare) | Ride-hailing app | VTC and GO (sedan / van) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paris ↔ Charles de Gaulle | €56 Right Bank, €65 Left Bank | varies, shown in the app | €90 / €160 |
| Paris ↔ Orly | €45 Right Bank, €36 Left Bank | varies, shown in the app | €70 / €140 |
| Booking in advance | + €7 (+ €4 for an immediate booking) | depends on the app | included |
| 5 passengers or more | + €5.50 per passenger from the 5th, if the taxi is big enough | larger vehicle, higher price | van for up to 7 passengers and 7 bags |
The taxi flat fare only applies to direct trips between the airport and central Paris (the 20 arrondissements, plus the Bois de Boulogne and Bois de Vincennes). From just outside, such as Neuilly or Boulogne, the taxi runs on the meter.
The Paris taxi: the cheapest, from the official rank
For one or two people travelling light, especially from the Left Bank to Orly (€36), the taxi flat fare is hard to beat. On arrival, take one from the official taxi rank signposted in every terminal, and never accept a ride from someone who approaches you in the arrivals hall. The flat fare is the same day and night, and the driver cannot switch you to the meter instead.
Uber, Bolt and other apps: convenient, but the price moves
The app shows the price before you order, which is reassuring. But that price depends on demand at the moment you order: it can rise sharply at rush hour, during a big event or when several flights land at once. At the airport, your driver waits at a pick-up point shown in the app, not at your arrivals gate.
A private driver booked in advance: certainty
With VTC and GO, the price is fixed when you book, even several days ahead, and does not change: €70 to Orly and €90 to CDG in a sedan, day or night.
- Your name on a sign: as an option, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall (Meet & Greet), so you don’t have to look for a rank or a pick-up point.
- Flight tracking: with the flight number given when you book, the pick-up time follows your actual landing time.
- A van at a flat fare: up to 7 passengers and 7 bags, €140 to Orly and €160 to CDG, child seats on request.
- Live tracking: a WhatsApp message when your driver sets off, with the car on the map.
- An invoice emailed after payment, handy for business travel.
Prices and journey times for each airport are in our guide Private driver in Paris: Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports.
Which one should you choose?
- On your own, light luggage, leaving within the hour: a taxi from the rank or outside your door.
- A very early flight: book the day before at the latest, taxi (+ €7) or private driver, so you don’t depend on last-minute availability.
- A family or group of 5 to 7: a van booked ahead saves you taking two cars.
- Meeting a relative, a client or guests: a sign with their name and a price settled in advance.
- Three of you: €70 to Orly in a sedan comes to about €23 each.
